JOAN MIFSUD

Melbourne singer Joan Mifsud started her career in the early 60s singing at dances - firstly with Norm and David Button's band called The Vulcans then with a group called The Kingsmen with Ron Mizzi. She sang with them at Sacred Heart Dance in Preston and Jive Junction in Moonee Ponds, Leggetts in Prahran and at The Orama Ballroom in Footscray with The Planets and the Fendermen .

Joan appeared on the 60s TV pop show, The Go!! Show. She left singing after getting married and did not return to the microphone until the 90s teaming up with two other women in a group called Champaine Cocktail at Church's in Richmond. She also gigged with Issy Dy around Melbourne. She also performed at Mooorabin Town Hall with The Allstars. Joan's career has spanned five decades, and she is still performing to this day.
