PAULA HENDERSON

 


Sax player Paula Henderson started her career with Melbourne band White Cross in 1986. She played on most of their recordings. She was then recruited in 1989 for the second incarnation of proto-grunge and punk rock group Fungus Brains and played on the album 'I'm So Glad'. When the band finished up she relocated to New York and became a sought after musician. She has played with The Roots, James Chance and the Contortions, Gogol Bordello, C.W. Stoneking, HAIM, Shamir, Smokey Robinson, Irma Thomas, David Johansen, King Kahn, Vernon Reid, and TV On The Radio, with whom she appeared on the David Letterman show. As a session musician she has appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, The Colbert Report, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
