MARGARET GOLDIE
Born in 1950 Margaret was a 1970s singer that was a member of the Australian casts for Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar. She also fronted The Nutwood Rug band.
Magaret grew up just a few hundred yards from me in Wandin North in Victoria's Yarra Valley. It was orchard country and I remember Magaret, her brother David and her parents. Just a few years older than me, Margaret kindly gave me my first acoustic guitar lessons in the mid 1960s. Later she moved away to bigger and better things as a performer.
Sadly, Margaret left us far too early. Rest in peace, Margaret.
