Lorraine Silk recorded under the name Mouse in the 60s. Why she chose this alias I haven't a clue. Maybe someone can help. She recorded a few singles on the Parlophone and Sunshine labels. Silk became a jazz singer performing and touring New South Wales and Queensland in various jazz ensembles working with local greats such as Craig Scott, Julian Lee, Steve Murphy, Alan Turnbull, and many others. In 1983 she recorded an album 'The Lorraine Silk Trio' with Lorraine on vocals, Craig Scott on double bass and Steve Murphy on guitar. She was later a member of the Blues Point Jazz Vocal Group.
I know why we called her Mouse, because she has always been a tiny cute little thing!
