Joan Lozelle's career started in the 60s. She was co- lead vocalist for Sydney band Multiple Balloon that recorded two singles for Jimmy Stewart's Sweet Peach label. Their first single released in late 1969, was a cover of Paul McCartney's "Fool on the Hill", which had already became something of an MOR standard thanks to the bossa nova version recorded by Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66. Their second single came out some time during 1970; the A-side was a Jimmy Webb composition, "Girl's Song" which had been recorded by English singer Janie Jones in 1968. In the early 70s Joan became the resident female singer at the South Sydney Leagues Club. She recorded an album with Reg Norton in 1974 titled 'Sunday At Souths'. In the late 80s she became the lead vocalist for the John Pickworth Orchestra. For the last 25 years she has also run the bingo, promotions and raffles at the Bankstown Bowling Club.
