Jenny Johnston was a keyboard player in two successful Australian bands of the 60s/70s. In the mid sixties she joined The Changing Times. The band featured Gary Young and Wayne Duncan who went on to form Daddy Cool with Ross Wilson. They released three singles that made the charts. In 1967 Jenny left The Changing Times with Alex Opitz to form The Dream. In April 1969 the group was relaunched as The New Dream, and their style changed to exploit the current bubblegum pop trend. The New Dream released seven singles that made the charts
