GENEVIEVE MAYNARD

Genevieve Maynard started her music career in the early 90s as a bass player with indie band Bughouse before becoming a founding member of the successful electro-rock group Stella One Eleven. Stella One Eleven were an Australian pop/rock band formed in 1997. Based in Sydney, they released three full-length albums, two of which charted in Australia; three of the band's singles made the singles charts.

For the past few years Genevieve has pursued the solo route, releasing two albums and two EPs to critical acclaim and national airplay. Her debut album Ghost Notes (2002) spent over 25 weeks in the independent AIR charts and was nominated by Rolling Stone as one of the top ten international debut albums in their end-of year issue.

A desire to continue her explorations of the alt. country genre lead to the formation of the Tallboys, featuring long-time collaborator Richard Anderson (ex Swirl, Genevieve Maynard band) on piano, Stephen Campbell (Bughouse) on guitar, Geoff Martin (Bow Campbells' Bloody Hell, The Impossibles) on bass, Bryce Jacobs (Josh Pyke) on lap steel and Brian Cachia (stella one eleven, the Margeritas) on drums.

Genevieve owns and manages Revolution Studios in Alexandria, Sydney, and has produced and engineered work for bluejuice (who came in at number 11 in jjj's Hottest 100 with 'Vitriol' and have just won the Red Bull AMP award), Melanie Horsnell, and National Top 20 and 100 charting releases for stella one eleven
