Kit Quarry was the drummer for post-punk underground Sydney band Craven Fops. They existed between 1984 and 1991 and have done the odd comeback gig since then. Their sound was once described as being the aural equivalent of barbed wire toilet paper! She has also played drums with Clayton Jonestown (Edward Clayton Jones’s band – formerly of The Wreckery – together with bass player Janine Hall), The Hated (with Stephen Bones Martin – former guitarist in the Deadly Hume), Rhino Violence, and Midnight Goblins. Kit fronted Lockheed (her own band) as vocalist and songwriter and provided lead vocals for both sides of the SPK singles SOLIPSIK and backing vocals on G.W. McLennans 'Watershed' album. Kit was singer and songwriter with Astrid Munday in The Flirts.
Dedicated to the lesser known women in the music industry from the 60s to the 90s.
