Jo Stanley from Brisbane started singing at the age of eight and was seen weekly on an Australian children’s television programme at the age of nine. In 1979 at the age of 14 she released ''No More Sad Songs'' on the Image label written by Moscos and Stone. She appeared on the ABCs
Countdown show to promote the song. Since that time, she has appeared on
Hey, Hey It’s Saturday, The Don Lane Show, Shirl’s Neighbourhood, Simon Townsend's Wonder World and
Good Morning Australia. She performed in New Zealand, playing the lead role of Sandy in the hit musical
Grease for two years. Now called Jo-Anne, she is currently one of Australia’s top female impersonators winning the 2008 best tribute act in Queensland for impersonating Stevie Nicks.
