Cathy Webb was still in High School when she formed The Kryptonics with Ian Underwood in 1982, They were contemporaries of celebrated Perth bands, The Stems, The Triffids & The Bamboos and were a popular local band of that time. They released a series of 7" singles and 12" vinyl EPs on a number of Australian independent record labels.
