LARA GOODRIDGE

Lara's violin studies started around the age of three when she initially trained in the Suzuki Method. After graduating through the Conservatorium's Junior School she went on to study at the Conservatorium's High school before taking up her career in professional music. As well as FourPlay String Quartet, Lara performed in the folk pop duo Joy and Lara with Joy Howard (ex Whippersnappers), the Chamber pop group Peccadillo and Baby et Lulu with Abby Dobson (ex Leonardo's Bride).

As a strong session musician, she has contributed to performances by Joni Mitchell, The Whitlams, and Australian country singer James Blundell and has opened for international performers such as the Corrs, Savage Garden, Art Garfunkel and Luka Bloom to name a few.

Working on theatre and film soundtracks with the likes of the Sydney Theatre Company, Belvoir Street Theatre and with movie director Baz Luhrman - Lara was guide vocals for Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge - her international standing in the music industry is assured. Lara is not only a professional performer, she holds a masters in French, a bachelor degree in Russian, French and Spanish and a diploma of languages in Yiddish.
