MARNI SHEEHAN
Marni Sheehan started out as a folk performer in the mid 60s playing at various uni and folk gigs. Marni joined jug band Gutbucket as a guitarist/singer/mandolin player in 1969. Since then, she has played with many Melbourne bands including Stilletto, Tinsley Waterhouse, Lola's Lost Weekend, Lola's Delight, The Gringo Stars, as well as central Victorian bands The Croakers and The Flying Tongue Kiss. Marni has a track record of songwriter credits including finalist placings in two ASA contests, & The Austin Texas Songwriting Contest, and her work appears in the albums of other artists such as The Stetson Family and Leslie Avril. Presently Marni plays mandolin and guitar in the the Thieving Magpies. Marni also plays in the Ladies Lounge, a four piece group featuring old timey tunes with a feminine flare.
